Thank you, Assumpta. I am glad you see the point here. Though the situation your niece is facing is similar to what my students face back here in India. But the reasons are totally different.

In India, the fear of third wave of Covid is still very high and therefore the schools haven't started physically. All children do is, login from their computers every morning and sit at one spot for all their lectures.

As a Dance teacher, I can understand their lack of enthusiasm for dance because their overall mobility has declined a lot.

And as far as your niece's situation is concerned, that too is an issue but only under normal school situations. Parents often complain that too much homework is given to kids.

Either ways, poor children suffer. I hope systems change with time. Thanks for reading. :)
